So about a week or so ago Alex's cousin lauren and her husband Ephriam came into town. It was her birthday and she had gotten some golf clubs and they all wanted to go golfing. Unfortunately for me I was expecting to be ditched and left with the kids all day because I didn't have any clubs. So we went to Fiesta Fun with the kids and all the cousins for a some festive fun and they show up with a brand spank'n new set of clubs. "Who's are those?" I ask. Can you believe it they had found them on sale for like $100 (the cute pink and black back with 10 matching clubs) and got them for me. Alex was in on it too. So we all went golfing. Which is another story in itself because that was only my second time going and Lauren's first time. I golfed a 67. And for all you golfers out there that's "great." Not really. If you golfed every hole right you should end up with 36. Woop! I was just a little off, but it was so fun.

Allie Bug

So Allie's hair is finally starting to get long enough that I thought maybe I could put some hair ties in it and see. Well it's long enough all right, but it isn't all that thick so she looked like she had antennas instead of pig tails. Oh well she looks cute either way.

I just wanted to give a shout out for a new site everyone should take a look at. It's thefamilypost.zapto.org It's basically a web site my brother came up with and it's just getting started, but it's a great idea. It's a site to share your know-how and to get some info on stuff ranging from computers to recipe's. Go visit it and give your ideas or even just your suggestions for what you'd like to see on a site like this.

Life is good

I just have to say that conference was amazing. All the talks were so inspirational and almost everyone could be applied to me. I love that. It makes me realize just how good I have it and how happy my life truly is. Pres. David O. McKay said this:
The Secret of happiness consists not of having, but of being; not of possessing, but of enjoying. It is a warm glow of the heart at peace with itself - Man is the creator of his own happiness. It is the aroma of life, lived in harmony with ideals. For what a man has he may be dependent upon others; what he is rests with him alone. (Gospel Ideas, p. 442)

So here is what you'll find in my bag. Actually there's usually more in there, but I have a couple diaper's for Allie, wipes, burp rag, ziplock baggy with a granola bar for Tate and pears (and spoon) for Allie, strawberry hand sanitizer, baby lotion, cheerios and formula in the blue and pink twist top container, phone, Medicaid papers, Tate and Allie's immunization records, my wallet and the little purple bag has sanitizer peach lotion, 2 lip glosses, a pack of gum, tic tacs, eye drops and a hair tie. Normally you'll also find at least one sippy cup, a few toys and lots of wrappers, but I had just cleaned it out.

Well I've been bag tagged by Natasha so here is my bag. I can't really call it a purse or a diaper bag because as a mother of two I hated carrying around a purse and diaper bag. So I came up with a solution. Actually Charlie, my father in law told me this is what they used to do. I have one big diaper bag that stays in the car with all the necessities. Change of clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks, bottle, sippy cup and P.J.s for both kids. Then I only have to carry around one medium sized bag instead of both. Plus it's a really cute bag!
