So here is what you'll find in my bag. Actually there's usually more in there, but I have a couple diaper's for Allie, wipes, burp rag, ziplock baggy with a granola bar for Tate and pears (and spoon) for Allie, strawberry hand sanitizer, baby lotion, cheerios and formula in the blue and pink twist top container, phone, Medicaid papers, Tate and Allie's immunization records, my wallet and the little purple bag has sanitizer peach lotion, 2 lip glosses, a pack of gum, tic tacs, eye drops and a hair tie. Normally you'll also find at least one sippy cup, a few toys and lots of wrappers, but I had just cleaned it out.

Well I've been bag tagged by Natasha so here is my bag. I can't really call it a purse or a diaper bag because as a mother of two I hated carrying around a purse and diaper bag. So I came up with a solution. Actually Charlie, my father in law told me this is what they used to do. I have one big diaper bag that stays in the car with all the necessities. Change of clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks, bottle, sippy cup and P.J.s for both kids. Then I only have to carry around one medium sized bag instead of both. Plus it's a really cute bag!

All I want for Easter is my two front teeth!
Yep, Allie has her two bottom front teeth. The second one just broke through this morning.
Man, just like that county song "don't blink" cause life goes by so fast. It seems like I was just barely pregnant and now my baby girl is crawling, trying to walk and has her first TWO teeth. Not to mention Tate, who seems to get bigger and smarter every day.

Good Eat'n
I love getting new recipes and I love making up my own. So for all those who want something new here are some super scrumptious recipes concocted by yours truly.
Smokey Southwestern rice wraps
4 strips bacon
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 cup brown minute rice
1 3/4 cup water
1 cup corn
1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1/2 - 1 tsp creole seasoning (depending on how spicy you want it)
2 green onions, chopped
5-6 tortillas (I like the ones from Costco that you have to cook)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can refried beans
Cook bacon till crispy. Drain grease and set bacon aside. In same skillet add garlic till it sizzles. Add water and rice. scrap pan to get all the bits up. cook until water is mostly absorbed. Add corn, tomatoes, seasoning, crumbled bacon and onions. Simmer till water is gone. Layer refried beans, rice and cheese inside tortillas. Top with remaining cheese and bake, covered for about 20 minutes. Soooo Yummy!
Italian veggie and chicken pasta
5-6 medium sized mushrooms (baby porta bellas have the best flavor)
1 medium zucchini
1 small white onion
1 can Italian style stewed tomatoes
2 chicken breasts (or just a can of chicken if you're in a hurry)
1 clove garlic, pressed
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
10- 15 oz. package spaghetti noodles
parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Cook pasta in salted water. In large skillet heat olive oil, add garlic and cook until it sizzles. Add chicken breast, salted and peppered cook until no longer pink remove from skillet and cut into bite sized pieces. add in chopped veggies and cook until tender and onions are transparent. Put chicken in and tomatoes. Drain pasta and add to veggies and chicken. Salt and pepper and top with parmesan cheese. Good stuff!
Enjoy!!!

Excited for Spring
I am so excited for spring to be here. In St. George that means a bit earlier than for all you in the Northern regions. In fact the last few days it's been almost shorts weather. That means that I almost put on shorts and then realize that a cool breeze will completely make that 15 minutes of shaving my legs obsolete. Lucky for Tate, he doesn't have to worry about stuff like that, and not that he would anyway, because with all the running and playing and biking and other random three year old stuff he does there is no way he'll cool down till I can get him to sit down (which only happens when he is watching TV or finally collapses for that much needed nap). And speaking of movers and shakers. Allie is on the move! She does this scoot/crawl thing that is slow going right now, but it gets her from point A to point B. In her mind she's probably thinking "well this will do till I figure out how to stand up, then I can go and do anything". Help! Two mobile kids, what was I thinking encouraging something like that. Oh well, I guess it would've happened anyway. At least she doesn't cry for me to carry her around all the time...no wait...she still does.
